W latach 80. XX wieku Hulk Hogan występował w federacji World Wrestling Federation jako face. W połowie lat 90. podpisał kontrakt z największym rywalem WWF – World Championship Wrestling. W roku 2012 rozwiódł się ze swoją żoną.
